Southcrest Church in Redditch is used by people of all ages, so its paths need to be safe and easy to walk. We replaced worn slabs and tired paving across the grounds with new tarmac footpaths and a refreshed entrance.
Starting point
The old slab paths had become uneven, and the paving at the entrance was faded and worn. For a building used by people of all ages, a smooth, level route from the car park to the door mattered most.
What we did
We lifted the old slabs and prepared new routes across the lawns, with edging to keep the paths crisp. New tarmac was laid along the footpaths and around a bench area, and the entrance was finished in multi coloured block paving.
- Removal of the worn slab paths
- New tarmac footpaths with neat edging through the lawns
- A tarmac pad for a bench beside the building
- Multi coloured block paving at the main entrance
Finished result
Smooth, level paths now lead visitors from the car park to the door, and the bench area gives a quiet place to sit. It is a local project we were proud to be part of.
