This project wrapped a red brick home in one continuous resin bound surface, so the front, side and back now read as a single space. A pale aggregate blend lifts the warm brickwork and its arched windows.
Starting point
A home with this much character deserves a surface to match. Its owners wanted a smooth, low maintenance finish that would run around the house without breaking up the look, and drain well in wet weather.
What we did
Resin bound surfacing is only as good as the base underneath, so the ground was prepared and levelled first, with falls set to carry water away from the walls. We then mixed the resin on site and trowelled it by hand around every corner and pier.
- One continuous pale resin finish linking front, side and back
- Careful hand trowelling around brick piers, doorways and corners
- Timber edging where the resin meets a new lawn
- A permeable surface that lets rain drain straight through
Finished result
Pale stone against red brick gives a bright, clean look, and with no joints or loose gravel there is nothing for weeds to grow through. Our resin bound surfaces come with a written 10 year guarantee.
