Big homes need driveways that can take plenty of cars and still look the part. This project combined a large new tarmac driveway with timber fencing and a pair of gates.
Starting point
The property sits in a leafy spot with a wide frontage. The owners wanted space for several vehicles, a secure boundary and gates that suited the house.
What we did
We prepared a deep, compacted base across the whole area before laying the tarmac and rolling it to a smooth, even finish. Timber fencing was then built along the boundary, with matching double gates across the entrance.
- Excavation and a compacted sub base across the full frontage
- Tarmac laid and rolled to a smooth finish
- New timber boundary fencing
- Matching timber double gates
Finished result
A wide, dark tarmac surface gives plenty of room to park and turn, and the pale timber fencing and gates frame it neatly against the trees behind.
